The Grand Experiment

Excerpt

There is a way out of being solely determined by fear, a way out of the frustration and upset. In order to find it we must be willing to question those beliefs we hold dear and that hold us hostage. We must question the myths, and specifically, the original myth, which is the belief that we are separate from our Source.1 This is the myth that creates all the myths that we live with and is the root of all our unhappiness. It is such a sacred myth that it goes unquestioned. It’s a basic belief, the belief underlying all beliefs, which drives our behavior and actions. Our willingness to question opens the door to the grand experiment.

Excerpt

Imagine a reality where we are aware of our fears and can choose our behavior and actions free from the restrictions of those fears. Imagine a reality where we choose to be our authentic self, with a life brimming full of energy, vitality, spontaneity, and open, honest relationships. This is an answer to the longing of our hearts.

Excerpt

The point is that we are creating our commitments from nothing, through our speaking—by our declaration. At the moment of declaration our lives will now be driven and determined by that commitment and declaration, and no longer by beliefs of the past. In the domain of being, once we make the declaration, it is done; reality has shifted. Will we still have old beliefs and thoughts? Most likely, yes. The old thoughts and beliefs may occur from time to time, but we no longer need to be determined by them.

Empowered by our commitment, we will create beliefs, knowing they will determine actions and behaviors in support of our declarations. Instead of empowering the old thoughts and beliefs as we have done in the past, we now empower new thoughts and beliefs that align and support our new declaration. In the domain of doing, in how we navigate in the world, we will now have the opportunity to practice acting consistent with who we declare ourselves to be.
