Workplace Evolution

"Workplace Evolution: Common Sense for Uncommon Times"
by Workplace Evolution Co-founder, Gayle Gregory

National "Best Books 2009" Business Management and Leadership Finalist

We all know that our world has changed dramatically over the past two years. During these changing times, it is only natural to ask questions and re-think our business-as-usual attitudes and best practices. It is now obvious that we must find a better way to do business. The challenge lies in breaking out of our current me-centered mold to a model that accesses the potential of each and every one of us.  Workplace Evolution addresses that challenge.

"Workplace Evolution causes us to reexamine the way we do business, including practices we have taken for granted that no longer serve people, the bottom line, or the planet. It provides original and straight-forward, yet practical solutions that breathe new life into ethics, community and sustainable profitability."  Jackie Barretta, CIO Con-way

Perfect Breathing

"Perfect Breathing, Transform Your Life One Breath at a Time " by Workplace Evolution Partner, Al Lee and his co-author Dan Campbell

Writer Campbell and meditative coach Lee (a 25-year "conscious breathing" practitioner) blame rampant stress and information overload for ruining our bodies' most basic and most restorative coping mechanism: breathing. Even worse, they say, is trying to counteract that stress with "flimsy self-help advice and pills." In their place, the authors offer the mind-body tools needed to break bad breathing habits and recapture the respiratory power we're born with. Exercises like "the 6-second breath" aren't just quick and simple, they can provide relief from conditions like high blood pressure, anxiety, pain, and even asthma and premature aging. Skeptics may be turned off by repeated spiritual and religious references, but the authors' practical advice is suitable for almost anyone suffering pain or illness. For readers who find themselves skipping pages, the last section, "Between Death and Dying," is not to be missed; what the authors and a hospice worker have to say about breath and the dying process is so compelling, it may have skimmers taking a deep breath of their own before returning to the previous sections with a new attitude. The Grand Experiment

The Grand Experiment
by Gayle Gregory, Madren Campbell, and Karen Johnson

The Grand Experiment sets a simple, yet powerful context within which to expand awareness, rather like the mirror of a child’s kaleidoscope. As the viewer looks in one end and light enters the other end, unlimited iterations are reflected in the mirrors. Learn to simply and completely release fear and unwanted behaviors, and tap into new depths of potential. It is time for radical self-honesty that brings all levels of communication, including the verbal, physical and that which is unconscious, into awareness and reveal a more profitable and inclusive expression for the betterment of humanity.
